So since early 2012 I've only done a handful of affiliate marketing sites where I actually bought the products and reviewed them. This included my own pictures and in depth video reviews.

I would recommend it if you're tired of dancing with Google so much. The video reviews have converted over 70% of my sales and they rank in the top 5 for their product [review] keywords. The video rankings kicked in only a few weeks after I made the videos and haven't budged since.

I hired an attractive friend of mine to do the reviews which I think definitely helps over my bro face.

Anyone else gone this route instead? Not worth it time wise?

I've done similar thing and got my girlfriend to do video reviews for me. I think having a woman selling (even a woman's voice-over) works much better. A really detailed and long review works wonders in my opinion, it's easy to compete with all the crappy generic reviews without any or much back-linking. It's definitely the way to go.

I'm an online seller for thousands of gadgets, as I'm fresh here, if you are interested, please PM me or give me your contact, you can chose some free sample from my website for review and share! Also I'll give you additional commissions for each order!

Here are a few things that you must keep in mind when you are writing your reviews. Lets see,

• Try to really sound like you know exactly what you are talking about. You want your visitors to view you as an expert in your field.
• Have confidence when you point out faults of the product this will show readers that you are being honest and it will give your reviews a lot more credibility.
• Try to include proof of your positive statements. Avoid hype, your readers will trust an honest review more than one than one that is using a lot of action words.

Thanks !!!

As to video reviews, I'm using Jing. Its very easy to use and cool design, but I think, it's mostly good for manuals. Anyways, worth trying

I've done something similar in the past and it worked great. I used YouTube to bring traffic to my landings and the sales were rolling in every day.
