I'm looking into an offer that has a 30-day trial and requires that the sale is completed which would occur after the 30-day-trial period. Would you avoid this offer due to the lag in the completion of the sale? Obviously the benefit to the customer is the 30-day-trial which is to the detriment of the affiliate marketer.

I would pass. Even the 2 day lag in Netflix reporting pissed me off. Real time is always the best way to assess your campaigns profitability.

That's my main fear. My campaign may be going well but I can't do any real reporting or analysis for 30 days. Seems like it would be easy to find a reason to stop promoting the offer.

My credit cards take anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks to report. The first month I was really scared, but after the sales started coming in I realized I just needed to sit back. Its worth the payout for me anyway.

if you know what you're doing then go ahead... if not then you better get some lubricant.
