Affiliate Summit Party List

My personal experience: The networks are locked up tighter than a 15-year-old Mormon girls vagina on prom night.

NYC is expensive as fuck too, especially for corporate reservations. The party we had planned would have cost between $14k-20K, and the most any network wanted to sponsor was $3500. (DISCLAIMER: Some networks held big ass events for affiliates this Spring/Summer/Fall, so a LOT of budget money went to those events. My statement doesn't imply they're cheap, but rather that networks are gonna drop the coin on the people who already send them volume, not so much potential affiliates.)

Vegas will be another story, it's UBER cheap to host there and TONS of better looking bitches. Will for sure plan one for January.

I figured the NYC cost difference would put a damper on things, but I would have thought that Sunday would be a bit cheaper to host a party on. There are a lot of places in NYC that should have been able to offer good rates - From past experience, InternBar NYC - InternBar Home gets good deals at bars on Fridays and Saturdays, so I'd think that some of those places would be willing to give even better deals on Sunday or Monday nights.

Do you know of any meetups going on, other than network sponsored events? If I end up making it to NYC, I don't mind finding a bar or lounge with some good drink specials and paying my own way if it means a better time than the parties already announced - After all, a drink tab isn't that much in the scheme of the whole trip.

Ya the only thing I've hard of so far that is semi public is a mini cocktail party from Azoogle, but its only a before party so will last for a couple of hours.

More and more networks also seem to be going the private/invite only route.

Azoogle/EpicAdvertising (also doing that massively expensive Playboy Mansion gig in late August)
Advaliant/MediaTrust
Neverblue

I know there are more but I can't remember them off the top of my head, will get back to you guys on it.

Place sucks...:)
It looks pretty nice to me. I hope they have some decent food and not just booze. Here's the invitation.

Johnny Utah! (I'm I the only one picturing a really bad actor with a really bad haircut who played a surfer with a really bad accent?)

shit this could be a downer on ASE. I haven't heard of any parties either. All else fails I may book an extra suite for a night and just go to the local liquor store, grab a ton of shit and tell everyone party over here!

OMG Eli, that's really quite fucking brilliant. Duh. I can't believe no one has made a habit of doing this at the summits.
