So, lots of offers, primarily in dating, are age restricted.

The only places I can think of that allow precise age targeting are myspace, facebook, pof, certain sites on content network that have age data on users, although on content network it's very difficult to set in an exact age, so often even if you click 'prefer age specific' in the targeting options, you get younger and older.

Sort of halfway between this and random traffic are buys and self-serve platform banner/text display on sites that primarily have older people in their userbase, and this is known either via common sense (an oldies music site, for example), media kits, or quantcast data.

Other than this, I suppose it would be worth testing just launching these offers on various other traffic sources that have all ages, and seeing what your data is and if it's profitable... but how this would work out, if you get so much young traffic, might not be profitable. Of course you should check with your AM first that invalid age leads will be scrubbed prior to a lead validating so that you don't end up getting confused stats wise and go through chargebacks and bad quality accusations and such.

Also I suppose one could put up a lander that has the two options "over 21? click here", and then another option that goes to another offer with no age requirement, eh?

I can say that most of our advertisers don't specify age on sources like google. Typically if someone is searching for dating they're going to be a good qualified user I think they feel. Vs. more general sources like FB. As long as you keep your keywords semi-targeted I imagine you'd be fine. Also, just let the network you're working with know the traffic is coming from some place like google and they can communicate that to the company. We have a lot of dating campaigns with age restrictions and honestly haven't ever had an issue.

retargeting social traffic that you know the age/country/gender/marital status of on display networks = LOL$

for anywhere else, you should capture the leads yourself with a copy of the merchant's LP. have your leads input their age on the first-page submit if its not there already. after enouh data on your traffic's adherence to age restrictions you can push

i believe most dating sites target certain ages just cause they want those users, doesn't mean they won't pay for others. like some targeted 40+ sites, will take 25 and up, and even 18 and up.

If you want to advertise your campaigns and have specific targeting. Try creating an account with Bluagile. They have a self-serve RTB that lets you target by age that you would want, specifically. Don't you think that it would help you out?

You can check Bluagile | Online Advertising | Display | Mobile Ads They have a self-serve DSP that has the option to use brand safe and non-brandsafe inventory which is very convenient for age restrictions
