Aging Reversed in Mice - yes this is for real!

"Repeating the trick in humans will be more difficult. Mice make telomerase throughout their lives, but the enzyme is switched off in adult humans, an evolutionary compromise that stops cells growing out of control and turning into cancer. Raising levels of telomerase in people might slow the ageing process, but it makes the risk of cancer soar."

Unless you're a mouse, it doesn't matter.

Plus they just genetically engineered a mouse that ages rapidly, due to the lack of telomerase. So of course the mice "reversed aging" when telomerase was injected into them... They weren't actually getting younger, they were looking like their actual age due to the return of telomerase.
