Funny thing about Black Death is that it's actually amazingly easy to cure thanks to modern anti-biotics. Hell, even quinine, the bitter stuff in tonic water (as in gin and tonic) will help hold it at bay till you can get some real medication.
I actually wonder why you'd bother using it as a biological agent.
 
I can't recall where I read it, but supposedly the London Underground (the tube) was built around known catacombs that were filled with bubonic plague victims during the height of the black death. They built around them so as not to disturb the bodies, even though they'd been buried more than 400 years.

Might be easily curable now, but who wants to jinx it?

Its quite easily curable, course most third world countries still have limited cases of it mainly due to the medication not being available in those areas.

Now something like ebola... surviving it seems worse than just being killed by it (no hair, great pain, and testicles the size of watermelons man...), but the contagion and death rate and the speed at which it kills is so high that its not practical for deployment in the manner they want.

Grade 7 history actually. When we learnt about it, everyone in the class started freaking out, until our teacher mentioned that we could just go and get Schweppes tonic water at the cafeteria... Being an unbeliever (because no one else was) I asked my GP at my next visit, who confirmed it as factual.
I had three sleepless nights because of that shit, because some Ebola movie (I think it was Outbreak) had just come out.
 
That would be great if Al-Qaeda wasn't controlled by US intelligence. Another propaganda article made to worry you about biological weapons that can't really hurt you.
 
I wonder what Obama starts doing with Al-Qaeda.. are we going to see soon that they give flowers to everybody, then say they were wrong and then apologize for their actions (they didn't do). And Obama Bin Laden crawls out of some hole pretending he lived there for the last 6 years.

At first I was somewhat excited about all the money and jobs it would bring to the city, but I'm not going to be so excited if they ever fuck up or become the target of an attack.
