(*RANDOM ALERT*)

Saw Alpha Dog the other day on HBO.

It was good. But depressing. Kind of left me with the same feeling that that 90's movie KIDS left me with.

Anyone seen it?

turbo... too weird, I too just watched it the other night for the first time and have the same feeling. I ended up googling the true story and stuff. just depressing shit. stupid kids.

I watched it for the first time as well a couple days ago. I was pissed at one of my friends for ruining the ending, and telling me that the kid is killed, but by the time it was actually going to happen I was happy I knew beforehand.

I just basically fast forwarded through that part (I DVR'd it) and that made it a little better. I just don't like depressing movies, but the first part I thought was really good.

Wasn't the part with his real mom crazy?

Saw it a while ago, messed up. Just goes to show you how stupid some people can be. If you want to see a really messed up movie though check out Requiem for a Dream. Don't think it's based on a true story but it probably has a lot of truth to it in terms of what happens when you get mixed up in drugs. Trailer: YouTube - Requiem For A Dream - Trailer

After realizing that Justin Timberlake:

And Emile Hirsch(Girl Next Door)

were the bad boys I couldn't take it seriously.

Well they weren't that bad. I think that was the point. Just made terrible, STUPID choices. And did you notice everyone of the main kids parents were fucked up? "I can't talk now honey, I'm X-ing...*door slams*"

thanks for the fucken spoiler alerts!

In retaliation i will spoil the end of Titanic. ....... IT SINKS!!!

Yeah I was thinking after josh's post we needed a spoiler alert...Mods maybe if you could throw one in my OP.

I saw Alpha dogs for the first time two nights ago on HBO. I actually liked it and I watched it, even with justin in the movie. And I jive justin credit he actually did half-ass in the movie.

spoiler alert? it's based on a true story where, uh, the kid is killed. not that I wasn't shocked when it happened in the movie. it's like when I was at the video store and my ex wanted to get The Perfect Storm. I said, "why do you want to get that, the boat sinks and everyone dies?" She was pissed because she didn't know. Well, Sooooooooorrrrrreeeeeeeeeee.

My thing is with the whole thing is it looked like the kid had plenty of time to run... Like when Justin Timberlake was buying the kid the beer at fiesta and he was sitting on the side of the building. I would have gotten the hell outa dodge at that point. I guess he wanted what all those other guys had.. the attention... girls... Drugs..

I watched it when it came out on DVD. I didn't want to, but it got real good. Justin Timberlake couldn't act to save his life in the begining of the movie, but it seems like he figured it out pretty quickly. It was fucked up that they killed him, but then I was thinking about it happening in real life and it probably didn't even go down exactly like that because a lot of it is contraversial.

I agree with this too. I forgot a lot about the movie, but now I remember that this really pissed me off. It's like the girls who get raped and just lay there and take it. When I wrestle with my girlfriend, I try to imagine if I had to rape her and she was fighting back, it would be impossible. You don't have to do anything you don't want to do. That kid could have even left when they were about to kill him. All he had to do was run. They would have maybe shot at him, but he would have been better off than just standing there waiting for it.

No dude. It's worse than that. He was a blackbelt for christ sake. He wouldn't have had to run, he could have killed them all with a few kicks. I think that was the point though, he believed and looked up to this guy (JT) And he was betrayed. Kind of an "Et Tu" moment you know? Yes, he was ridiculously naive but I think that's what made it so tragic the kid was so innocent and likeable.

Great. Now I'm sad again. Quick! someone say something funny!

Damn that ruined it, lol. I watched like the first 3/4 of the movie and wanted to finish but had to go out.
