It seems to me that google will try to make an offer for alphabet.com.

What do you think? How much do you think they will get for the domain? I would say 7-figures easily...perhaps multiple times over.

I think that if they were planning to make an offer for the domain, they would have done it prior to their announcement.. So no, I don't think that BMW will have a payday from this domain.

What they could do is redirect it to Bing as I am sure the name is getting a ton of traffic, then I am sure Google would make an offer for it Or just hammer down BMW in the SERPS until they turned it off..

Your post sounded like it was parked domain, but from the first look it seems like an operating site providing services?
Not sure you would redirect that just as a shady way to get an offer. Especially if you are reputable company such as BMW.
