OK, seems like a lot of people are talking about the $100/day manual review/inevitable adsense bans for most people on these forums. I'm trying to figure out ways to get around it and what works better. These are just brainstorms and feel free to add/discuss.
According to the adsense forums, you are not supposed to create websites specifically for adsense ads. I can see why google does this. They want the internet to be chocked full of unique, awesome content. They do want money, but not at the cost of the end user. They were willing to shut down completely in protest of SOPA, so money isn't the end all to them.
Multiple Sites in Unrelated Niches:
Say you have a site in the beauty niche about sexyflatirons.com and you talk about how you and your girlfriends go out and use flat irons to turn men on. And lets say you also have a website that is about powerlifting, and a site about living with obesity. I would have to think google would realize, wait a second this guy is just creating websites to make adsense money.
Real Quality Content:
I would have to believe that if they look at your site and it is a quality website, with unique content, you have a much better chance of passing the review. I can't understand why google would ban websites that use adsense as a monetization method if they were truly unique content.
-For instance for red shirts if you have a unique post with neatly written content about how to buy a good red shirt, it's obvious your fucking targetting the keyword.
-But if you have a post with a picture of your favorite red shirt and how you wore that red shirt to a basketball game that there was a game winning shot and other stuff, google wouldn't care as long as it was an interesting post. (now if you could actually rank that post due to LSI who knows, but that's just an example)
Multiple Sites vs Authority Sites:
I would have to assume that if you had 50 golf related websites (i.e. sillygolfballs.com, shittygolfshirts.net, golfshirtsforgirlymen.org) you would be very likely to be slapped by adsense. Why? Because it's obvious you're targeting adsense and keywords.
I would have to think that if you had only one golf website, awesomegolfshit.com, google would be much more likely to like your shit. It would be tougher to rank specifically for those keywords due to the lack of emd bonuses, but do you see why it wouldn't look as spammy?
On-Page SEO:
I would have to think almighty google knows about on-page seo (h1 tags, page titles, etc.), and I would assume that if they are reviewing sites, on-page seo could be an indicator of targetting keywords and thereby adsense ads, which is a TOS violation, right? This is a catch-22 because if you don't do on-page seo you don't get ranked and you don't get monies so you wouldn't really have to worry about the $100/day cap.
Doesn't Make a Difference What You Do:
It's also possible that google doesn't want to give over $100/day to website owners. Maybe they believe that there ads don't deliver as much value and at the $100/day mark the website owner should be able to find better/more targetted ads on their own terms.
Anyways, those are my brainstorms, obviously it's an online enigma but maybe it'll be cracked some day.
One thing to note, over at smart passive income the guy has a website that just recently started hitting the $100/day mark, should be interesting to see what happens with his site (go to his site to find out about it, really good case study).
