Am I being paranoid?

So a few months ago I renewed an old friendship with a civilian buddy that works at a nearby army base. Texting, skype, FB chat, phone calls, ect.

Personally, I automatically assumed all our communications were being monitored and I told my friend this. But lately I have seen a little CD disc icon flash up on my screen when I'm about to run CCleaner or clear my browser history (which I do often btw).

Do you think all my shit has been compromised or am I just being paranoid?

Oh noez... put on the aluminum hat, destroy your drives and run for the border!

The U.S. government uses trojans that can't be removed or even detected. I suspect that if you have had extensive conversations with this guy your computer is probably compromised. Just sell it on criagslist and get a new one.

not a guy btw. An old dear friend, ya know.

Do you think my IP is now subject to monitoring too?

I mean I don't do anything illegal I look at some questionable porn sometimes (no kiddie shit - no snuff) -- I have a penis. But I'm not a terrorist. Fuck I drove down to NYC when it was still burning to see if I could volunteer.

Terrorists have really got you people in a shit place. When you're not afraid of being blown up you're afraid of your own governments actions in the name of protecting you from the the terrorists.

yeah it's a mofo.

I have the answer to...

fission.

>2012
>still communicating via text and not calling your buddy to hang out
>having communications monitored
>okay

If you're paranoid, stop using online communication and more real life hangout at the titty bar. Keep online communication vague. Or, use a VPN.

Smoke signals. That is what I use.. They can see it, but they can't decipher it.. Heard they were recruiting Apache trackers now.

you could install a program which blocks all outbound traffic except instances you approve. or just block all outgoing ports except 80, 25 and 110 for web and mail. could also use wireshark to monitor outbound traffic if you're that paranoid. also if you're super paranoid you could set up an ssh proxy and block all ports except the custom port you use to connect to the proxy.

its too late for wickedfire, all F_C agencies have already infiltrated us

sumit was replaced long ago, the real sumit is in gitmo. current sumit I speculate is with mossad

This. FBI is already taking daily copies of this forums server logs.

man !

you should go to do some Xray !

i assume the government put some rfid under your skin while u were sleeping

Just use another PC as a router and watch all the traffic coming out of your PC. Look for anything suspicious. That will tell you if you've been trojan'd. If your ISP is in on it only run stuff over an encrypted VPN hosted out of China or some shit.

Oh boy.. you silly kids. If you have a reason to encrypt your calls/emails/communications there are programs that can do all that. I'm not going to tell you how to do so because I think you are a little paranoid fear monger. But yeah.

Hire a computer security specialist to check your information if you think their maybe a problem. There are plenty of people that do so, even within the government to sweep rooms for bugs, ect.

can you take a screen shot of this CD icon thing?

No way I tried it's intermittent and too fast. Also it's generally in the center of the circle windows 7 uses as its loading -- so it's fucking hard to see.

Yeah... seems pretty extreme.

Due to the fact that this person dealt with all manner of rank and especially people heading overseas. I always felt chances were excellent our shit was being monitored. Especially after I was emailed by her from her army computer and then she called my cell from the bases phone -- lol.

fwiw I really dont give a fuck. Like I said i'm legal... but it is annoying. My buddy who's in the medical field just got a new gig -- not military related at all. So it should stop - or not.

I was just curious what you guys felt the chances of this being true are.
