He didn't reveal anything that was positive or brought about any real change. You guys should be a bit more suspicious of a guy that supposedly had national secrets and now isn't doing anything with them and isn't even focused on any more.
Are you serious? Even if he was a double agent he still brought positive change. He opened not only a national dialogue, but an international dialogue. And that dialogue continues even today. There have been numerous bills that have been brought to be acted upon.
People now know this stuff is going on. Some people have changed their behavior. Some holding information back, and others opening up the pipeline. Hell even the little old lady down the street knows she is being spied on.
And last but not least he exposed the sham that is the Nobel Peace Prize when he was passed over. And yet a guy who has killed countless people has won it.
I could go on and on. But it seems like you are getting the weekly brainwashing memos talking about how the public doesnt really know the truth, and only us insiders can protect the nation. I get those memos as well bro. But I choose to think for myself.
That's one thing Snowden didn't expose at all. I would substitute with 'reinforced', as evidenced with Obama winning it for winning an election. Holy shit.
Only example this bad was 26 year-old Ronan Farrow winning the Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism 3 days into his career as a journalist ...

He didn't - the film itself won the Oscar for best documentary. It was not an individual award to Edward Snowden.
Thank you for the correction. That was a sloppy point, which you cleared up perfectly. It was almost as sloppy as saying Snowden won the Oscar. Which hero journalist Laura Poitras deserves that credit.
We know that we're being spied upon and that's it. The NSA has been around for a while so while the revelations are frightening they're also not surprising. It's also curious to me how Snowden is even still alive in the first place.

Fucking LOL at call me brainwashed. The public (that includes you and me) are ignorant of real goings on. Unlike you I don't pretend for a second that I'm different than the rest of the "sheeple". I have a laptop, I have a phone, I live in the US. I don't think for a second that I really know more. If experience has shown anything, the people who say "I choose to think for myself" or "there's no way I can be tracked" are more vulnerable.
Re-read my quote, I never said that he won the award- I said that the documentary did. Hence "award winning documentary"
