Amazon.com Cell Phones - Affiliate commission?

Does anyone know the affiliate commissions work over at Amazon.com for Cell Phones? Some cell phones are given away free of charge when a 1 year or 2 year agreement is signed. But does an affiliate gets any money for those?

I don't have figures - but I set up an amazon affiliate store for mobile phones - it didn't do much good (i got bored of it) - but I noticed a few months ago that I had sold a battery for $7... when I logged in to find out more - it turns out that I got $0.30 for the sale!

Just found a posting over at the Amazon affiliate discussion forums. Promoting cell phones/plans with Amazon is not worth it as it is based on the price and free means no commissions.

There are some pretty good offers in CJ for cell phones. I have worked with one company who has a program there that pays $15 per sale no matter what is sold.
