It doesn't say one fucking thing. Instead it just hints at a whole lot -which is obviously enough to satisfy people with attention deficit disorders.
I'm greatly curious as to the deafening silence coming from OWS over Jon Corzine.
Jon Corzine, former CEO of Goldman Sachs, former governor of NJ and United States senator, aspirer to the White House and formerly the #1 contributor to Obama's re-election campaign.
THE MAN STOLE $1.6 BILLION CASH AND LOST IT TRADING IN THE HOPES OF A TIMELY EUROPEAN BAILOUT FOR OUTSTANDING GREEK DEBT.
He did this as CEO of MF Global and in addition to wiping out a slew of innocent commodity traders that were MF customers for decades (MF Global's business was primarily servicing the commodity trading industry, not taking positions in international debt) 3700 people also lost their livelihood.
In some ways it's worse than Madoff. At least Madoff's investors were under the impression their money in play. Corzine had no permission to touch cash accounts, he raided it like I raid a fridge.
And he has not seen the inside of a jail cell.
But the police are the bad guys today? For who, a bunch of faggot skateboarders who wear skinny jeans? Get the fuck out of here.
If Corzine was a Republican, Henry Rollins would performing at Zucotti Park and Barack Obama would helicopter in to shake hands and throw roses at tents. I also believe Corzine would be in jail and Obama would be seen as a reformer.
But, as it stands, it's a tricky and negative issue for Obama. And his devotees at Atlantic Magazine, NY Times, Washington Post, etc. are frustrated because they can't push OWS now in the direction they'd like to.
So now it's about Rage Against the Machine-like videos for kids on the couch.
But what do the facts and the issue matter anyway. It's people before principles, right?
