American Greed - Enzyte Episode

I love the common thread in all the stories:

Guy starts out well, typically with the best of intentions.

Then gets greedy and it all shits the bed.

It's always a good lesson in what not to do (and/or how not to get caught).

lol
Wouldn't let people cancel without a doctors note saying they had a small penis
lol

I laughed at that too.

The part about the nephew's email intrigued me and got me thinking, though...

He wanted the CSRs to call up previous customers acting like they were hospital representatives to offer a lower priced, more potent alternative a few months after the initial sale was made.

I've been turning that over in my head for the past hour thinking of legitimate spins and I've already jotted down a few notes for testing.

Thanks CNBC! :playboy_sml:

The only episode I've seen of American Greed was the one about The Mustang Ranch in Las Vegas back in the 60's and 70's, awesome story, it was like a frickin Martin Scorsese movie. I'm going to have to start looking out for this show.

As mentioned above, it was interesting to note really the only "scammy" part was the rebill... people seemed perfectly fine to spend money on a product that didn't work for a couple months.

(hope tries anything?)

It was almost word-for-word an exact replicate of Vincent James' business model. He ended up going to prison for a while as well. But like the enzyte guy, it was only after he got greedy (if the stories are to be believed, anyway).
