Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows of a site where I can browse for american manufacturers similar to alibaba?

I don't think the price difference is that big anymore, and I'd like to try out U.S. manufacturers in hope that the quality is better.

Problem is, I only found a few via google and most look like chinese disguised as US companies.

Is tehre any site around with reviews and the likes?

THX in advance

You won't find one. The problem is you can't just work with a american manufacturer. Not really a free market here. Lots of red tape. You can get higher quality in china, just ask for it.

yeah, though they always sneak something past you.
I don't know if I just had bad luck but I order consistenly the same shit.

So far, say Shirts for example they make first batch of 5000 shirts great, 2nd so so and the 3rd terrible.
I had this with almost every manufacturer there, for almost all kinds of stuff, caps, shoes, necklaces, cases always the same.

It's not the end of the world, u always get your money back, but it's tiresome and people who preordered get angry.
I would just wish to find a few who always deliver the same product consistently.

I was hoping the US is better, sophisticated and such. but I'll take your input thx. can't always win ;-)

I don't know if you've physically visited them if not then you need to physically visit them. Dealing online can go so far. I'm sure once you build a relationship with a manufacturer you won't have the problem of getting lower and lower quality with each batch.

That's why you bring up everything you're not happy with instantly. Anytime a manufacturer sends me something I don't like, I take pictures of every single mistake, and send it to them as well as an explanation of what needs to be changed.

After that, they do better on the next batch. You should never have a progression of good to bad to worse. Each batch should get better, if it doesn't then flip out:

"[ENTER MANUFACTURER'S NAME], this is ridiculous! We already discussed this before, and yet you made the same mistakes. I'm sorry, but we won't be able to do business anymore. I don't work with liars and cheaters."

The manufacturer typically comes back apologizing tremendously and offering you a better deal with better quality.

There are North American suppliers on alibaba. Just search them by filtering out other countries and selecting North America.
