Wanted to post in T&C but seemed too peasant-like so I posted here.
I've looked through a few niches and went through a few back link profiles of a few sites at the top of the SERPs that I'm thinking about getting into, but it always confuses me when I see ahrefs or majestic come back with under 5-10 links, sometimes even zero, for the top ranking sites. (not trying to out them)
Some are new domains, some are a little older with no new back link activity for months, some are web 2.0s, but they always have next to no back links pushing them to the top of the SERPs.
Is there anything I'm missing? Re-directs from other spammed sites possibly? The few links that these top sites do have are nothing special either, and the same goes for the actual "content" on the money sites.
