Well, that is obviously the hook. The burning question is...how much is the valuable part of the guide, the one that isn't being given away for free but doesn't have the dollar amount mentioned in it?

Hooks are great and all, but I don't want to waste my time if the second part is 8 billion dollars or just another cheesy ebook.
 
I just noticed that Laura posted an endorsement on the sales page. I'll wait to see what she has to say, and if it contained anything she didn't already know.

*edited to add - I registered and got page two of the sales page. It's a "Suite" that's $157.
 
Hopefully it'll be in the free ebook section soon.... if anyone can be bothered to buy and refund.
 
The special offer says that you can get it for $97 for all parts. I'm intrigued... hmmm

Also, the only reason I'm interested is because Laura Atler wrote a positive review about it.

Maybe I should just wait...

Huh? That forum has less than 8000 members and gets a corresponding amount of traffic (i.e., not much compared to big boards).

The sales letter says:

So he's had a bunch of failures and one moderate success. Is that how someone becomes an "expert"?!

If you scroll down far enough, there's an Alexa chart for internetmarketingsingapore.com showing what a fantastic success it has been after implementing a forum. The problem with the chart is that it's from November...that's when traffic peaked, and it has plummeted waaaaaaay down since then. Similar kind of thing for the wiichat.com example he uses later on. So much for "Absolutely NO B.S".


Yes, you CAN can use user-generated content for SEO purposes and sometimes (but usually not) to generate decent income. But after having read that sales letter, I would suggest that people look elsewhere for that information rather than waste their time with Ryan Chua's ebook.


(I'm a moderator and administrator on a forum with 100,000+ members and over 4 million posts... I'm not just talking out of a hat.)


PS - Can someone update this thread title to prefix it with "Forum Secrets Revealed". Then we can see where this thread appears on Google for the title of the ebook. ;)
