Angry Birds Was No Overnight Success...

There's a lot about this in this months Wired UK (I can't believe I admit to reading that advertorial biased crap) although I'm still on December's issue, so saying I read it might be an exaggeration.

I'm not hating on you for posting it but this article basically says nothing. You could've written the same thing by glancing at Rovio's website. "Oh, they've been a company for 8 years, it must've been a tireless struggle until they finally saw the fruits of their labor!" ...and then present no facts whatsoever, not even mention one of their early games, or anything about what they did prior to AB. Is this what it takes to be a journalist nowadays?

Example of good journalism: Paul Haggis vs. the Church of Scientology : The New Yorker

Not to mention, Angry Birds essentially ripped off a popular flash game and simplified it for the masses (a pretty common formula for success, take note) so there's nothing to laud Rovio for. Good job, they got their big break from hustling for 8 years.. moving on.
