The country I live in has an annoying approach to online libel/defamation etc.

If I wanted to host my site completely anonymously using an offshore company, what is the best route for this - anyone know? I want the offshore corp to be the legal owner of all the assets, domain etc and pay all the hosting bills, have revenue paid to it.

Delaware corporation? Panama company?

Anyone know the ups and downs of different options?

Doesnt have to be an American LLC or corp. In fact its probably better its not in the US.

If you're looking for free speech protections, a US LLC or corp in a privacy friendly jurisdiction is probably your best bet.

If you're looking for other types of protections, non US entities are ideal. Be careful about using non U.S. entities if you're interested in protecting speech. Nevis for example does not have very friendly free speech laws.

Also ignore anything LukeP says because he's an idiot who thinks 9/11 was an inside job done intentionally by the US government. Anyone who is that unhinged is probably not someone you should take any advice from.

I know some vendors do shady shit with Nevis based companies.

Look for some existing threads by wayn3 on offshore companies.

Wyoming used to allow you to name your Corporations without any corporate identifier (not sure if they still allow this). So you could name your company Jack Smith, and anyone looking into it would assume Jack Smith was a person not company.

i have a resource that covers most of anonymity/offshore companies questions, its mainly a big archive of private newsletters, ebooks and forums on the topic of incorporation,2nd passports etc. costs i think around 100$ now. if somebody wants u can PM me.

Are you going to give this resource away for free, or are you expecting people to pay money for this?

With personal experience running a site that faced a lot of issues with freedom of speech I'd agree with this. A US entity will generally keep you protected, provided you are comfortable with litigation.

Who shit on your dim sum? All I did was ask if NM the only invisible LLC...

Wow, some people can really lash out disproportionately when their tiny little worldviews are challenged...

When you say "comfortable with litigation" do you mean happy to get sued and have to defend yourself? Not really on for that.

I'm going to delete any abusive stuff and not be a dick about it but I don't want to be distracted with personal squabbles and feuds turning into litigation.

What I want is a totally anonymous corp that can't really be sued easily.
Or traced to me.
Nevis sounds like an option.

So because I don't subscribe to your Alex Jones talking points, which are based off speculation and NOT facts, I have a tiny little world view? I already pointed out in the previous thread that I'm well aware of the types of operations the CIA has engaged in to destabilize foreign governments.

I'll take things a step further and state that the bankers are the real western power players, and that the governments kowtow to them. Hell everyone has to kowtow to the banks. It really sucks too, and I am sure you can agree with me on this.

All of my statements are based off facts and not wishy washy speculation propagated by a radio talk show host.

Unless you provide some real data, your speculations are totally baseless and without any merit. Anyone who has some critical thinking skills can tell you're completely self deluded. You refuse to even acknowledge the possibility that perhaps you're the one totally wrong. Hell I'm willing to acknowledge that I may be wrong, but at the very least I form my opinion from hard data rather than "conspiracy theories".

Also you're the guy living in the mid west and are afraid to move to Thailand. You have no business telling me about my world view when your exposure to the world is limited to what tourist visits to Thailand, the Internet, and your life in cosmopolitan Indiana.

So when Obama wins the re-election, are you going to move to Thailand or not? You made a statement in the past vowing that you'd move to Thailand if big O got re-elected. Are you going to do it, or is it more empty talk from the keyboard jock?

As I already stated, Nevis WILL NOT give you good free speech protections.

The ripoffreport.com used to be incorporated in Nevis and got screwed due to their weak free speech laws (Hint: Someone filed a lawsuit against them in a Nevis court). Now they use a US entity.

Use your head and talk to a lawyer. He'll tell you I'm right.

Then you probably shouldn't be getting into a business that will lead to people wanting to sue you. If there was an easy way to do this, companies like RipoffReport and ThePirateBay would be doing it.

Litigation is a cost of doing business in an industry like this.

Thanks for your useless no content post. I actually helped the OP out and gave him something he can check with any competent attorney. That's more help than you managed to provide in this thread.

Here is more info on the Nevis lawsuit:
