I'm thinking of opening up my personal anonymous proxy service and want to get an idea of interest (I won't bother if there isn't any), it provides json eg http://mysite.com/get-proxies returns
Code:
{1: "111.222.333.444:5555",
2: "222.333.444.555:6666",
...
}
At any given time there are usually 30+ working anonymous proxies, each proxy is tested for anonymity and was working within the last 10 mins (I might change this to 5). It will cost $10 per month, please pm me if interested.

Sounds pretty weak to be honest. Unless I am missing something it doesn't sound like something that would be able to compete in the market at all. For $10 / month there are much better options. Also, is it only 30 proxies total? Or 30 per customer? Because it sounds like you are trying to get people to pay $10 / month to get a list of 30ish proxies which they share with all the other users and that is simply not going to sell.

*Please don't take offense this is just my 2 cents.

Fair points, no offense taken. Obviously 30 is a low number (all are shared amongst all users) and $10 too high, I expect to be able to raise the number to 200+, maybe double even. These aren't my proxies so there are no guarantees (other people will likely be using them as well), they come and go all the time, I'm just offering access to a pool. I thought people might be interested on the basis that the IP addresses are changing all the time which can be good for automated tools that hit the same pages a lot.

Instead of providing all proxies to all users I could create groups with only a few users having the details of the ones in each group.

This was just an idea I had, I wasn't sure how good it was.

Please make any suggestions you feel would make a good service.

Well, i'll agree 100% with the comment that 30 is weak, i'll add that at any price 30 would be weak... and the fact you're just using a script (i'm guessing) which scrapes proxy lists/forums + tests em doesn't really make your service even jokingly 'exclusive'...

now if you were to subscribe to two or three of the reputable 'private proxy' list services then repackage that list... then you might hvae a product that people would buy (and i'd probably get trolled for making that suggestion). :)
