Who is training these agents in the law?

"She was like, 'This is a federal offense because it's in the shape of a gun,'" Gibbs said. "I'm like, 'But it's a design on a purse. How is it a federal offense?'"
...the TSA says the design could be considered a "replica weapon,"...
Replica weapons are listed as "realistic replicas of firearms." One would assume that a decorative emblem attached to a purse would pass the smell test. Not with these retards insuring our "security."

We are seriously fucked but I have noticed the last few months that the number of people supporting the tsa and the cops is decreasing. Last year most of the comments would have been about how stupid the chick was and that the agents were just doing their jobs. Now it is starting to go the other way, probably too late but maybe not.

There was another one as well, an 85 year old lady did not want go through the machine because she has a defibrillator and the decided she needed to be strip searched.

The economic problems I saw coming a long time ago, but this rapid slide into a police state over the last 10 years has just blown me away.

Once a police state emerges, its longevity needs only for a populace to mutter, "Well, that's just how it is" while spreading our butt cheeks and having our family jewels fondled.

I recall other TSA threads in which members said, "Look, that's the price you pay for the privilege of flying." Good grief. What nonsense. One day, will that also be the price I pay for the "privilege" of driving, shopping at Target, or eating at my favorite restaurants?

This is a good read...

Few dare say it publicly: America has become a police state. All the signs are in place, among which the world’s largest prison population. If we are not a police state, one must ask what are the indicators that will tell us that we’ve crossed the line? What are signs we haven’t yet seen?

We are already seeing the TSA spreading to bus and train stations and I am sure it will only get worse. You see those ignorant people after getting groped saying " If you are not guilty of anything it should not be a problem" or " I feel safer now" It makes me nuts hearing that kind of crap.

I am so seriously glad I do not live anywhere near a large city any longer but lately I wonder if even out here will be far enough.

I certainly recognize the illegitimacy of the state, and will call attention to it at every opportunity. However, I place much of the responsibility for these tragedies on the shoulders of voters. How wonderful it must be for politicians to watch the public's ignorance expand even as they become increasingly compliant.

Just wait until we go cashless, after which the state will be able to track every... single... purchase you make.

What folly. And it will happen right under the noses of the ignorant, who happily vote for the folks who'll make it happen.
