Any Wordpress/Joomla/Etc Theme For A Car Database?

Is there any theme or particular plugin that can be used for the creation of a car database? So, basically a shit load of pages containing images, specs and a synopsis.

Essentially, I'm looking for something along the lines of rvguide.com.

Any ideas bras and bros?

I've been wondering this myself. Also, if not (or not any decent ones), what would the cost be for having a programmer set one up?

This might help (Joomla Componant): Bulk Import - Joomla! Extensions Directory

It'll import a CSV saved from Excel and dump each row item into an article. You can tell it which column to use for name, content, etc. Just make 1 CSV per manufacturer. You can insert images by placing HTML <IMG tags into the data column. It'd make it a lot easier if you used sequential image names.

Using it and a scraper you can get an aweful lot of content online real fast.

i'd suggest using wordpress, altho i've never used joomla so i cant comment on that - but the number of themes out there for wordpress are unlimited - you might want to think about using a theme framework like Thesis and getting some skins for it - altho that'snot completely necessary as there are plenty of decent free themes out there as well - Flexibility Theme for example.

Yootheme's Zoo extension looks like it might be made for this kind of thing. I've never tried it or even read that much about what it is, but from what I have seen it does seem to be made for what you're looking for. Namely something like the Product Catalog App.

Theme wise surely almost anything would work (within Joomla) with the right logo? I remember some pretty car based ones at http://www.joomladesigns.co.uk/

(It's no Yoo Theme though and many themes I've used there are very limited out of the box.)
