Anyone Actually Like Clickbank?

I've never used Clickbank and I think that they have some weird offers up on their network that look super sketchy, but I was wondering if anyone here actually uses them and likes them?

Your opinion is appreciated!
 


Clickbank has a bad reputation because of all the 'get rich quick' and marketing eBooks its vendors sell for prices in excess of $50. Most of its poor quality, but there are also good, quality products in other categories as well (unfortunately a minority).
 
I can tell you that Clickbank checks always come on time, every two weeks, like clockwork. Never had a problem with them in getting paid.
 
Their system is a piece of shit, no statistics (like how many visitors I sent to the vendor's page etc), bad support, and most of the products they offer don't worth a dime.
 
When I first got into Internet Marketing I did a lot of bum marketing with clickbank products ( I didn't know better at the time)

I remember getting so frustrated going my first 10 days without a sale. I stayed focused and kept throwing my links everywhere.

I still get paid $100-200 every 2 weeks for work I did over 4-6 months ago.

I have not promoted Clickbank products since I joined Wickedfire, but I still
get paid for my past work.

That extra $200-400 a month is decent beer money. Not sure how long it will last though lol

ps. I used the date as my tracking codes. So say today is sept 13, I would add 913 to my tracking ID.
 
Tracking sucks
Products (MOST) suck
Customer service (as stated) is non existent.

Its worth a shot if you can market "the crap" in the right direction, IE- Noobs
There is always demand for those poor pathetic souls out there to make money only... Ultimate wealth comes to mind lol.

Like I said, you have to be able to hit the target with the crap your promoting.

Checks always on time is the only +

I've tested a little with Clickbank and made some money here and there with them. It's mostly marketing to suckers that fall for the huge sales pages, but fortunately a lot of people out there too.

They also have some decent non-ebook-spammy offers.
 
I can't say that I like Clickbank - but it brings in some money, and the checks come in even after the original blog is setup.

As far as their tracking is concerned, it is lacking big time. The site also seems to be stuck in a 1999 design. But hey if it brings in the money for them who cares about the design.
 
If ClickBank would agree to my terms then I think they would get themselves a MUCH better reputation and a hell of a lot more business from the rest of the industry. But, they refuse to, because the scammy ebooks they allow do in fact make them lots of money, and they also banned me and all of my credit cards because I told people to buy the scammy ebooks and refund them afterwards.

If someone would create a platform similar to ClickBank, with a few VERY necessary changes and rules, and make it much more robust, they would bank. Hard.

There is also a site like paydotcom, but one of the biggest scammers in the ebook industry runs it - aka Mike Filsaime (sp?) - and I've heard some pretty evil stories about what they do with the personal and business information they store on their affiliates, so technically, no, there is no REAL alternative at the moment. But there will be someday I'm sure.

I buy ebooks all the time. Not because I need them or really want to read them, but because I'm on a quest to find ebooks from the scammy salespages that actually have solid information. Plus CB banned all of my personal cards and paypal, so I have to use either the company account or a friend's.

Even so, yeah I know, "not all ebooks are scams" -- but most are.

This is true, some sales pages out there do promote really nice products. Case in point : Keyword Companion. Albeit it's not a huge spammy sales page and its not selling an actual ebook, it does have the characteristics of one but sells a solid product.
 
Clickbank has turned into the "playground" for the spammers, luring newbies in to be a spammer just like them.

Here's how "gurus" work:

1. write an ebook telling people how to earn $10000 a day (it's easy!)
2. tell them to promote the ebook they've just brought using clickbank and articles (it's easy!)
3. Make $10000000000000000 and then release another ebook on clickbank under the same name.

I think I'd probly murder a guru if i seen one.
