I started an auto insurance campaign a week ago, and im not getting alot of traffic. I thought that i would be getting alot more impressions/clicks for such a big niche but i am not and i cant figure it out.

The most clicks ive had in a day is 8 clicks and , the most impressions ive had in a day is 2,899 impressions. Im not getting enough impressions therefore i cant get enough clicks, and then leads. When i do get clicks its converting excellent, so i want to get more clicks and impressions to get more leads.

I have 2,000 primary keywords im using, such as auto insurance quote, car insurance quote, automobile insurance quote, instant auto insurance quote, etc.. and they are on broad which means im also showing for florida car insurance quotes, califnornia car insurance quotes etc..so i am showing for ALOT of keywords. Also to top it off im on the first page for 90% of those keywords and on the top of the second for the rest. Everything seems like its perfect but i am not getting a traffic that i should be getting.

Does anyone know why this is happening, is my campaign tainted, does anyone do auto insurance, how much traffic are you getting?
this is on YSM

If you think you are going to get fast and easy .20 clicks on auto insurance, you may get frustrated.

I do insurance, and you really have to think outside the box to compete with the large insurance companies. They don't mind bidding $8 or $10 a click for brand awareness. Of course, most of us need to keep our bids around a buck a click if we are collecting leads. So keywords like car insurance, auto insurance, or even affordable auto insurance are probably NOT good enough! C'mon, if you thought of thousands of keywords, the big insurance companies have a room full of people managing their PPC campaigns who have gotten there first.

I know this because I also do adsense with insurance as well, and I've made $20 off a click before, made $7 or $8 often, and average well over $1 - $2. In other words, I know it isn't just me.....

However, when you find those few keywords that do it, they are golden! I just don't expect them to last forever.

Now this is probably saying more than I should, but IMHO the only way to win is to thnk of a problem a person may have getting insurance or a solution they may be looking for or something that getting a quote from a big car insurance company may not provide..... something like that, and slide it in like that. Just think about that and let it click.

im bidding $4.00 per click, and like i said im on the FIRST page for 90% of my keywords. somthing isnt right if im only getting 3k impressions maximum in a day, and that was only one day...i average 1,000 imp. in a day...my ctr and everything is good, im making a profit...but my daily budget of $100 wont even get close, 30$ is what it usally turns out to be

also i had about 10 keywords that were getting clicks and converting 100% , so i decided to put them in a seperate ad group...but once i moved them into a new ad group they stopped getting traffic...anyone know why that happened? the bid and ads stayed the same, all i did was move them

The big companies monitor very well. If you moved them last week, could you have been sniped? Otherwise, if you did it this week-end is it possible they haven't been blessed by a Yahoo! yet?

Congrats on doing well at $4 a click. You've got guts!

im only getting a small profit...if i could get more clicks/impressions then i would make more but somthings not working...i moved those keywords to a seperate ad group 3 days ago and they are approved but not getting any impressions now
