i have 3,000 keywords for verizon, nextel, boost and all the carriers. each carrier has 3k keywords so for 10 carriers itll be 30,000 keywords. The thing is each ad group only allows 1000 keywords which means for each carrier i would need 3 ad groups. So it would be like 20 ad groups for all the carriers. Does anyone else have theres like this since each carrier has so many keywords? Should i use all 3k and put em into 3 groups or just use 1k?

Also what i did was search in wordze and other keyword searchers and i searched for nextel ringtones, verizon ringtones, etc..i did this for all the carriers. Then i put em into a text file and replaced the carrier names with "carrier" Then i will use all those keywords for each carrier. so when its time to upload my verizon keywords i will replace "carrier" with verizon. Do you understand what im saying? So each carrier will have the same keywords. Does this sound like a good way to go?

so i have all 3k keywords in a file looking like this:

carrier ringtones sanyo
carrier ringtones send phone
carrier ringtones send to your phone
carrier ringtones sent by text message

then when i upload them into YSM and put em into groups by carrier name they will look like this:

nextel ringtones sanyo
nextel ringtones send to phone
nextel ringtones send to your phone
nextel ringtones sent by text message

or

sprint ringtones sanyo
sprint ringtones send phone
sprint ringtones send to your phone
sprint ringtones sent by text message

then i will make seperate ad groups based on action words. For example for verizon i will have regular verizon keywords like

verizon ringtones sanyo
verizon ringtones send phone
verizon ringtones send to your phone
verizon ringtones sent by text message

and i will have seperate ad groups for

free verizon ringtones sanyo
free verizon ringtones send phone
free verizon ringtones send to your phone
free verizon ringtones sent by text message

get verizon ringtones sanyo
get verizon ringtones send phone
get verizon ringtones send to your phone
get verizon ringtones sent by text message

download verizon ringtones sanyo
download verizon ringtones send phone
download verizon ringtones send to your phone
download verizon ringtones sent by text message

buy verizon ringtones sanyo
buy verizon ringtones send to your phone
buy verizon ringtones sent by text message

am i doing this right? do i need to split all them up, because if i do it this way , just for "Verizon" i will need to make 16 ad groups.

3 ad groups for General verizon no action words (3k keywords)
3 ad groups for free verizon
3 ad groups for get verizon
3 ad groups for buy verizon
3 ad groups for download verizon

So for all the carriers itll be a few hundred ad groups. Am i going way over the top or is this neccessary to get a successful campaign going.

Please help me!

You should split your keywords up as much as possible into small adgroups, it will effect your CTR%. Make sure your ads are targetted to the keywords as well, you probably know that though. Even if there is a possibility that it wouldn't make a difference with some of your adgroups, you should just do it right the first time. If for some reason your campaign isn't doing well, it's going to mess up your testing and waste even more time from redoing everything.

Jeeeeesus. Is it really worth all that work? All my campaigns right now have 1-4 adgroups. I couldn't imagine making 100 different ones.
