Been getting more serious about preparing. With the just in time philosophy that business's follow now a day's, getting food could be a real concern. It could be a storm, or who knows what. I am not to crazy about buying a shit ton of stuff I will never eat. So I have began to look more and more into growing food.
Does your mom let you plant a garden in her basement or in her backyard? Im more curious if any of you guys are canning? I know just about zero about canning, but have been reading about people canning full meals. I fully intend to follow the Buy what you eat, eat what you buy philosophy. And the idea of opening a couple jars and heating it up for a quick 5 minute meal very appealing.
I am considering buying a pressure caner, dehydrator, and a vacuum sealer. It looks like the possibilities are endless.
Anyone currently doing this stuff? Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.
