Just talked to my broker at American Family and he said on top of property insurance i should get advertising insurance to protect me if i'm sued. He said they don't offer it.

Anyone have this? Recommend anyone?

My business takes me onsite a LOT, so my needs are not 100% identical to yours, but...

I have a policy that cover $1MM general business policy that covers property damage, medical, and a few other items, and a $1MM umbrella policy.

Basically my biggest risks are damaging the customers' employee. i.e. A rack falling on Sparky the backroom server nerd.

Nope. Sue my companie(s), I bonus myself out every other money all the money in the pot. They're, in turn, worth nothing.

Legal shields.

Dude, you are high and retarded if you think this will keep you from getting your ass handed to you if you get sued. Even most corporate statuses won't completely protect you from being personally liable in many cases.

Good ruck Chuck with that one.

The Hartford used to have a pretty decent price on small business insurance, and they use to work it a la carte, so you used to be able to pick up just the parts you need. I've been through a couple of claims with them, and they can be a bit of a PIA, but they do payout what they promise.

Used to be that you could get a policy directly from them and avoid the agent/middleman.

Hope this helps
