last guy who tried to recruit me to 2by2.net when i was in community college in 2001 was driving an old 2 door toyota truck (mid 90's?) and working construction when I saw him again a few months ago and said Hi.

My mom's old best friend came to visit and try to persuade her to join this acai juice MLM shit under her and to invite other friends that are interested to sell to local businesses. What a joke.

I started making money online with GDI though, I used a bot to post on CL when the job market started failing hard and I got like 1k emails a day with people sending resume's and begging. I got banned cause I wasn't aloud to do CL and they didn't have that in the terms. MLM is for people who will die poor

Find something that looks promising, get in at the top, recruit some hardcore sales people (who you don't know, as to not kill relationships) to join under you and create downlines like crazy, and then profit. That's the only way you'll be making money with MLM.

I'm close friends with one of the biggest MLMers in America.

He once told me that the only way to make money in MLM (he doesn't call it direct marketing like others do) is to start one or be one of the first.

Yeah, and people who usually fall for MLMs are people like the Warriorforum, thirsty oldgen's that want and easy button

i make money through Isagenix a network marketing company. Alot of my profits are from retail sales and some from team volume.

I know someone who makes $ with Isagenix too. I tried the products, tbh it's a re-labelled generic crap, but to each their own ;)

do you make money with the products? or is the focus more on recruiting more people to recruit more people etc.

the guy i know got me to go to one of their 'conferences' that seemed more like a cult, and they seemed more interested in getting people to join than to actually sell anything. obviously thats the structure of mlm, but it seemed like they had 0 interest in any product being sold

amen
my barber was an amway guy and everytime i went in there he was talkin about amway. he had an amway shrine in his haircutting area and would watch videos of amway whule cutting hair. i had to get a new barber cause he kept trying to get me to join:angryfire:

My friend's ex-husband wasn't a particularly intelligent or ambitious guy, but attended a few of the conferences and got the Amway religion. One night as he drove me home from their house, I became his captive for an hour or so as he went on and on about Amway. A pro inspirational speaker of theirs put a fire into his belly, because he seemed to have been replaced by an Amway pod person who seemed eager and ready to die for his merchandising deity.

The Amway spell didn't last long, and he returned to his old ways soon after. Amway needs to develop a method of more permanent brainwashing.

My Dad while working in Saudi Arabia, joined this MLM called GOLDQuest (now its known as questnet) made some serious bank, quit his job there, went back home to India. But found the going there tough with all the cheaper scams, already in the market causing people to lose confidence in the entire business model.

He Quit the thing and is now exporting flowers to the middle east, and now friends and family are more interested to talk to him.

A good family friend introduced me to stream energy...

It's basically an mlm that sells electricity. The whole aim of the program is to recruit people...

Anyway I joined because I was doing him a favor... He bailed me out of jail a few months back so I joined under him...

I swear I get like 4 -7 text a day about ignite (the marketing arm for stream)... They are always about getting my prospects in front of their best sales guys... Basically stream is an electric company and ignite is the mlm part... both are 2 different companies...

They split the company in two so that when ignite files bankruptcy in 3-7 years stream will still have the electric accounts crankin out cash... It's really genious... They won't have to pay out all the sheep, and can keep the fucking contracts hahahaha....

I think this may be the secret to recruiting hardcore members into your downline- bail them out of jail.

For about $1000, you can get 5-6 guys ready to die for you cause they know if they don't, you'll tell their old ladies where they really were last Saturday night.

I first heard about Acai in early '08 as a family member was really into Monavie. THEY weren't "making it big" yet, but their "upline" who is a good family friend was, BOY was she 'Making a fortune!'

After getting the jump on berryz I later found out that "making it big" was that she had a ~$80k year from Monavie (the 'big' upline).

Said family member STILL tries to pitch it to me, even knowing that I stepped/shat all over monavie to rock that online.

It's quite comical.
