Anyone play with Arduino ?

Recently picked up the UNO board and loving playing around with it.

I dont know anything about electrical engineering or electronic tinkering but its really cool to self teach yourself things sometimes. If you have the tinniest bit of C programming knowledge it is also a lot of fun.

making this atm. it fades an LED.

there are a ton of onling learning tutorials and many projects you can do.

My end goal is to be able to build bots that interact with the internet. ie. be able to email/tweet a bot I made and it will turn off my lights at home or set the temp to 73 etc.

I got drawers full of PING parts, resistors, LED's, blank circut boards, solder, etc. It's always been something that I've been fascinated by. Haven't played with Arduino yet, all that stuff has taken a backseat for a time when I have time. I had a nice little lab set up in high school. I would spend hours building kits. My mom was legitimately worried that I was going to become some domestic terrorist given the quantity of political literature I read and my penchant for tinkering with electronics and chemicals.
