Anyone "rape" twitter for real?

Now that that other thread has turned into a gigantic failboat...

Has anyone actually been able to successfully promote offers using Twitter?

I know I should be trying it out myself but at this point I can't cough up $77 just to test out TwitterSnipe.

I do need something like Twitter (i.e., free traffic), if I want to stay in the game after my dip with PPC.
 


dude, srsly.. new thread? why??? i fail to see why there needs to be so many threads about making money on twitter. it can be done, people are doing it everyday, but just like every other form of marketing, it takes time and is hard to start

^^^ This - It's not on a high scale though. You can make some $$$ on it, but it's turning into crap w/ endless spam. Still, give it a go already!

Who needs money?

Learn PHP -> Create Automated Account Creator -> Create a system to follow people and automatically post -> profit.
 
I'm getting ~20% click through rates on every link for a realistic looking fairly targeted account that isn't pushing sham wow and acai berries. Conversion rate is pretty low, but the clicks don't exactly cost anything. Sample is too small to tell yet, but looks like 2-3% conversion.

Looks like I'll only need 25k followers to get what I want.

Thanks for that. Just bought twittersnipe...will test it out and follow up with case study.
