API for Deal Site?

Hi All,

I work for a deal site and several sites have approached us recently to provide an API for the deals we offer.

I was hoping some of you that have already integrated with other sites like Groupon or LivingSocial could let me know what it is that you are looking for so that I can incorporate it in the API.

I would imagine the most important is the deals feed with the affiliate link already embedded in the links.

However that is the most basic of scenarios and what features do some of these other API's offer that you would suggest we implement?

We have an internal program that I built. We have put it through the grinder by using the links through Facebook and AdWords, so far all info shows accurately.

Would you recommend that we use an affiliate tracking platform?
