iPhone 4G Rumors Heat Up - PCWorld

Looks like it will be coming out this summer. Couple rumors regarding the changes:

  • AMOLED touchscreen display
  • Touch-sensitive case
  • Dual-core processor
  • More RAM
  • 64GB
  • Video-call camera
  • 5MP camera with a possibility of flash.
  • Possibly a removable battery.
  • Dimension changes.
  • Will be available to Version/Sprint/AT&T.
If it does come out with the above changes, I'll probably upgrade my current 3G then.

the removable battery part is not going to happen, the same way expandable memory isn't gona happen. I mean hell they went back to using a non-removable battery on their 17" Macbook Pro.

Last one is very questionable unless they make a CDMA version.

Several articles did say that the 4G will be CDMA.

Every year they release a new version. Every year there are massive amounts of rumors listing awesomely cool features everyone wants. Every year almost all of them are false. The only ones that are true are so because of the shear magnitude of rumors throw enough wild guesses around and you're bound to get one right.

All MacBook Pro's have non-removable batteries as of june 2009...not just the 17" model...so that's obviously not going to happen in the new iPhone...and CMDA might not be needed since ATT/Verizon/Sprint are all using the same 4G network type(LTE or something like that?)...but it would not be likely to come out for a while and depend only on 4G...also CDMA does not allow data and voice at the same time, something apple is staying away from...

I have a 3G and it was my first Apple product. It will also be my last.

Fuck Apple with their locked down and overpriced trash.
and it takes like, what? 30 minutes to crack? .. keeping it desirable by its scarcity and yet open to anybody with half a brain. sounds like shit hot marketing to me.

and overpriced compared to what? .. up until the nexus nothing even came close to competing and thats taken 2 years.

i've had my iphone for 2 years now (yes a 2g) and the only thing i'd replace it with is another iphone, nothing else to me even comes close. besides i'm continually having the same debate with my friends, who rush out and buy the latest nokia, samsung, ht, whatever and 4 months later rush out and buy the latest ... meanwhile everyone i know who has an iphone still has an iphone.

or a blackberry ;)

even i read about it..though no official confirmation..the news first originated from a French website..i even remember reading that this new phone will have a removable battery..not sure how true this information is....i guess we will have to wait

I have a 3gs which i love, probably going to jailbreak it soon because im getting bored.

4G with front facing camera? nope. i really don't think this will happen. ATT cant handle all of the data going through its network now. DO you think they will really be able to handle that much more?

removable battery? don't think so. Apple strives to be sleek...

the other things seem very possible, of course they will be drive, RAM and processing upgrades.

Not counting download, bout 5 minutes, and its very automated compared to say rooting an android phone. Just plug the iphone in, run Pwnagetool, and apply the new rom. The only cavet of course is making sure you don't update to the latest firmware every time with the iphone since new baseband versions will become unlockable for a while, but you can always jailbreak the thing.

Yep...and it's real tough to uncheck the "check for updates" box in iTunes too...

This is my uncle's video (he just recently bought a smart phone repair shop) they ordered a iPhone 4th generation lcd assembly from one of their vendors they can't be certain that this will be the next design for the iPhone but the same vendor has released additional pieces of the phone so they think it is the new 4th gen.

They released this last week:

(and can I say how proud I am that my uncle manged to get a youtube video to go viral??)
