Approval length?

Hey, just launched a campaign yesterday at around 5 pm, and the ad says active, but yet no impressions. Adwords says that they will email me when it's approved. How long does the approval process usually take?

I had this same problem with the content network recently. They review all ads before they go up. After waiting two days, I emailed them with a WTF? and magically my ads started running. IDK if it was related, but my ads now run

Hey, just launched a campaign yesterday at around 5 pm, and the ad says active, but yet no impressions. Adwords says that they will email me when it's approved. How long does the approval process usually take?

When I first signed up for Adwords it was a Thursday. My campaigns said "active" almost instantly. However, the account wasn't approved and "active for real" until the following Tuesday.

I spoke with them on the phone, and basically they approve new accounts manually which can take a few days.
