Arcade scraper written with PHP/Javascript/AJAX with .com domain (3 years old) - $350 or best offer

Selling arcade site and scraping script. Admin section lets you enter a URL and the number of layers deep to spider and it will search for and download any embedded flash or java games (All old NES games are available with the java emulator). Automatically detects and omits duplicates using hashes even if they were disapproved earlier.

Once downloaded, they are kept in a database until the admin approves and categorizes the game. Admin can write a description, list of controls, thumbnail, etc for each game. When I got into a rhythm I could thumbnail and approve a game in under 30 seconds.

Script then can generate static, SEO friendly HTML pages for each category and game. HTML page templates are easy to edit in the admin section.

I wrote this about a year ago and no longer have time to add games or promote it like it needs to be. The only promotion Ive done is submitting to a few arcade directories so traffic is low. With some promotion and more games added Im sure it will be successful. I'm the only one who has it and I will not sell it to anyone else if sold.

Any questions PM or ask here.

Revenue / Profit?

Have not spent much time on this project since i wrote it but in the past 12 months I have made a total of $12.34 in adsense and $16 in affiliate offer conversions from this site.

Def needs some work to monetize fully.

ooook.

So it has a whopping 28.34 in revenue in 12 months and you want 350$?

OK.. sorry if I came across as too harsh.

Fact is that I will sometimes judge a script by the results it is able to produce.

Revenue is one thing here.
The other is the site - sunarcade[dot]com if I am not mistaken from the name of your screenshots.

The home page is butt ugly.
Can I change that? Include pictures / featured games, divide the listing by category,... etc?

Is the script bound to the site? Can I easily change it to serve another domain/DB?

Do I get resell rights for the script?

If you want to sell the script based on it's merits, be aware that you are competing against scripts that do the same but sell for less.

Waiting for answers before bidding.

Best,

yes, the domain is sunarcade(dot)com. The home page is ugly, but its easy to change. Every type of page has a template: the main page, category listings, the game pages, and the game bridge pages.

Games can be put into multiple categories, and when you click on the category only those games show up.

Basically you have the HTML code as the template, and then variables you place within the template for things like the game itself, the category list, etc. When the static pages are generated, the variables in the template are replaced by the actual code for each page. You can easily add images by just adding img tags in the template and uploading the image.

The script is not tied to the domain and you can easily move it or change the database by changing a few variables in a single file.

If you buy it you have complete rights for it, including resale. As part of the agreement I will not resell it to anyone else or use it myself.

I am aware there are many arcade scripts out there, I had one on the domain before I wrote this script. What I have not seen is a script that can spider a site and grab the games like this can. Even if its an embed with multiple files in the params needed to run the game, the scraper will download all of them and reproduce it so you can grab just about any game (that doesnt have any javascript) from any site.

Another thing, it uses AJAX for timing the scraping so you don't have to worry about setting up cron jobs or server timeouts.

I think the value in this is the potential to have a huge database of games, as opposed to one of the cheap scripts where you're limited or have to spend a long time adding games.
