Otherwise, the FTC and any other governing body will have their way with us. Without an opposing voice in Washington, regulations will increase, and our profits will shrink.

Should we unionize fellas?
 


Many of the niches for IM already do; just search for the ones that concern you most. And FYI, lobbyists can't do much against FTC.
 
Probably a very good idea.

Large corps are definitely feeling the hit in their profits from IM and aren't gonna stand back idly about it. Soon they will require tons of unnecessary paper work and shady laws creating large barriers to entry in order to keep themselves at the top.

The one thing we do have going for us is Silicon Valley and all the VCs and Start-ups that have the same interests in keeping the internet open and free.
 
For $5 billion US we could build a massive floating island and relocate.
 
It wouldn't take as much as you think, but our industry association (PMA) is completely worthless and focuses on shit like Amazon.
