Automating facebook ad creation

Hi,

I was just thinking if its allowed to create ads automatically via PHP or PERL. My question is - is it ok with the facebook terms?. I see that 4houraffiliate does the automation.

I have also read 2 blog posts which says they got their account banned for trying to scrap the facebook pages inside their profile.

Since there is no automation introduced for facebook ads. Is it ok to automate??

I still see 4houraffiliate facebook ad manager is still not banned :338: so I think facebook wouldn't mind something like this when it comes to ads?

How are they really going to stop automation?

Even if they ban a particular script, you can still make your own browser-based scripts with programs such as WinAutomate and iMacros.
 
Wondering who has has experience with the FaceBook Ad Manager that is sold on 4houraffiliate but is not made by Justin... He says "its not mine. Its a firefox plugin... install, restart firefox, view toolbars"

Anyone have more detail on this exact FireFox adon??

@davidrx - I tried to code some shit in Perl, but I found that some of the things that stunna suggested work better (although I use something different).

Also, I emailed facebook about automated ad creation. They don't have any problem with it, so I doubt that some of the changes that are made are an effort to stop people from making ads.

The only downside to some of the browser based programs is that it takes a while to create ads. The fastest time I had creating ads was 100 in 30 minutes. I don't know how some people have the patience to create X,XXX per campaign.
 
i've coded a php ads creator setup, and i've heard of a few others as well. it's handy for big campaigns instead of waiting for the 4houraffiliate toolbar, just set it off on my linux shell and go get something to eat for a few minutes. also handy for inserting dynamic images and text into each ad which i don't think 4houraffiliate can do.

but to be honest, it's not really worth the work i put into it, 4houraffiliate can do pretty much everything it can do. so don't bother
