Backlink Miner - Find Your Competition's Best (And Shadiest) Backlinks

I'm interested in purchasing the software. But here's what I'd like to know:

1. What system does it rely on to analyze the backlinks? Is it YSE or some other service? How does it find the backlinks? How reliable and accurate is the service?

2. If the service returns some links, can I use the software to double check on the url to see if the link was found (something scrapebox does but with the ability to organize the data a lot more clearly)? If not, is there some method using which you can integrate the scrapebox free link checker to work with your software?

3. Does it allow me to go deep two or three levels into my competitor's backlinks and help me make simple reports that I or my team can comprehend and make judgements from?

For example: I have a competitor's whose backlink structure I'm analyzing. His main links consist of high pr sites, web 2.0, etc.

Now I want to analyze these backlinks to see what the guy is doing in an easy and effective manner - I'm not interested in typing the url out manually from the excel report. It has to do it automatically two and three levels and give me the data in seperate excel files or worksheets.

4. How often will you update the product considering it's a one time software?

5. How does it analyze social activity? Any particular service where you make your requests from or do I need to pay for some service so the software can analyze social activity?

Your software's pitch does make it seem as though it's wonderland. But I'd like to clarify these questions first before I make my decision and that includes investing in the trial and purchasing the product.

Thanks,
Harry

PS: This could be a steal for many people on the forum if the software has simple answers to all the questions I mentioned above.

PPS: My question may seem dumb. But your offer proposition is quite similar to some of the expensive software in the market that never really do deliver. So please clarify these questions. I may or may not have missed a few things.

Hey Tyler,

Thanks for the questions. I'll try my best to answer them :-)

1) At the moment it uses Open Site Explorer (OSE) Free API to grab top 1000 links. Hopefully by early next week we will have support to pull up to 10,000 links from OSE if you have their Pro Account or Paid API. Future development includes adding ability to grab data from Majestic and AHREFS as well using thier API or importing reports.

2) The software doesn't do this but can easily be added (obvious forehead slap feature to add). As it is you could easily export the data from my software. Check the links with scape box alive check and then add that info back to the spreadsheet created by my software for comparison.

3) If I understand correctly you want to be able to take a competitor's link from say a Web 2.0 site, and then automatically analyze the backlinks to that web 2.0 site and then the backlinks to those backlinks? If so, no unfortunately the software can't do this...at least not without inputting the domains/url you want to analyze.

4) As often as it needs to be updated. I have a lot in mind for it but I wanted to release it to get feedback as well so I know the best direction to take future development.

5) For social activity it collects metrics from Facebook, Twitter and G+1 at the moment. But it is not like a service like reputation.com or something like that.

Hopefully that answers your questions :-) No questions are silly or dumb. Everyone helps me make the software better and I'm all for that.

It is a free 7 day trial you can cancel at anytime so why not give it a whirl :-)
