Fiat money isn't worth the paper its printed on. It has no intrinsic value.

They should have bought real estate around the world and invested in businesses. Money is power, not a bunch of crap paper...

Don't get me wrong, I understand what fiat money is, but what should they have done?

Asked their dealers to only accept credit cards, cheques or wire? Taken all of their cash to the bank?

How exactly would you have "bought real estate around the world and invested in businesses" when all you have is in cash?

BTW they did buy property overseas after laundering what they could.

When you have that kind of cash, you can do anything. That includes moving it out of the country and laundering it. The reason is that most people do not understand what fiat money is, and will gladly take paper. In exchange for paper, they will do just about anything at all.

These guys were just not smart enough.

If you read the article you would know they were getting money moved around through shady currency dealer(s).

Now law enforcement needs to focus their efforts by going after the largest cultivator of marijuana, lock him up, and throw away the key. God MUST face justice for all the marijuana he's grown.
