Just tried logging in to CJ: Our records indicate that your account has been deactivated.

Anybody else getting this? Not an e-mail from them or anything, and their offices are closed now so they aren't picking up my calls.

I'm 150% whitehat so I don't know why they'd close my account... any ideas?

Wow, doing a Google search on "Our records indicate that your account has been deactivated", it appears I'm not alone. A lot of people seem to get random bannings without any notification at all.

This isn't going to look good on their review from me..

No I don't read about Jon, he reads about me.

Anyhow, I've been reading a lot regarding "The most common reason for deactivation is 6 months of inactivity (no sales)."

Even though, how about a curtisy e-mail or phone call?! And it's strange, since my account was idle for like 5 years until a couple weeks ago when I started trying this affiliate marketing thing. Maybe their system doesn't detect if you show no impressions at all or something.

But still, talk about professionalism... now I'm kinda glad they dropped me. Who wants to work with a company that does stuff like that?

This whole business we're in is so temporal, everything changes within months... professionalism often comes second to making profits, in the eyes of a lot of affiliates. Besides, from their viewpoint you're not generating them any revenue, so why keep you on?

I think they ban your ass after 6 months of no leads. You can call them to reactivate, but then you have 4 weeks to get a lead or they clean out your account permantly

man, this is one of my pet peeves - you can't be more than 100% anything!

lol - and does 150%, mean he's creeping into black hat territory by 50%. So 100% WH + 50% BH? why not just say 66% WH, you black hat scammer! get out of here, we don't want your kind!

Screw CJ, they blow big time. If you haven't signed up already I'd recommend Copeac, they never pull random shit like CJ does and they stick up for their clients to.

I'm already with a bunch of affiliate networks, but need CJ for some such as UFC and KarateDepot.com which only work with CJ unfortunately.

Anyhow, I phoned them today, and this was actually on their automated phone response, and as others had suggested, CJ had suggested to just make a new account with a new e-mail. Sigh, that is ludicrous. It means I have to sign up for each advertiser again, and then wait for each to accept me, then update all of my ads.

I'll definitely only be using CJ for offers I can't get anywhere else. I'm 200% sure about this.

CJ kicks people off for no activity. Same thing happened with me a while back.

It is extremely dumb. When I started and signed up with them, I was doing no business. Now I do a ton of business. I go back and find out I have to get a new account, well it is their loss....

There is no reason for them to do this. If they want to require a re-review of the account information to re-activate that is fine. But when an account is de-activated it can't actually be activated again.
