I'm new here but there has been plenty of change since I first joined. If you guys want to keep jack off questions and spammers off the boards, I was thinking about adding another page to the forum when you join. So when a member signs up they must read a list of immediately bannable offenses and if they are newbies they get a list of what to NOT ask. It can be really simple but effective.

Example List

Do this and you get an instant ban

How do I make money online?
What is Wordpress?
What is Arbi?
What is AdSense?
Give me your keywords?
Can you show me an example of Arbi?
eBook spammers

Also you can direct people who are newbies directly to the Newbie Section / Most important posts

Example

Welcome to WickedFire!

We are the most kick-butt forum on the web when it comes to affiliate marketing and we kick the butt of newbies too, BUT we all started somewhere. Don't pretend to be what you're not, if you're new to AM just hang out in the Newbie Section and read these threads. We have a lot of fun here but when it comes to making money we're serious business!

If you have any questions post them in the Newbie Section. We have plenty of moderators and guides who'll help you on your quest to become the next dot-com mogul, but don't clutter the other parts of the forum with your newbie questions. If you do, you'll get the banstick

Use the Newbie Section to your advantage and you'll be an expert in no time! If you don't think you're a newbie. Here's the test. If you're making less than $5,000 a month you guessed it, you're a newbie! ;)

Thanks for joining the Real AM forum, now you can learn how to make money and stop being a professional newbie

Anyway this is just an idea, I thought might help curb the ridonkulous post we've been seeing and also make it clear so people won't ask questions that used to get people banned plus get people on the path to making money

I don't think it is wise to cut people just because they are new or want to learn.

A lot of people who have been here a while still don't know jack.

I know people like to talk all tough and stuff here, but there is way too much posing going on most of the time.

The problem is not the people who don't know anything or know any better. They are moldable and can be trained. The problem are the idiots who do know better and are oozing sleaze and crap.

If you've got some n00b posting a dumb question, just point them to the stickied threads in the Newbie section and tell them to use the Search button until they have a worthwhile question.

If we banned every n00b, then eventually we would get bored with each other and start chewing off limbs and roasting them over the fire. Wait, I got WF confused with the Donner party. Hmmm....

I don't know, it might be inappropriate to hire a guy who uses vulgar phrases like, "kick-butt"

Hahaha. Nice. :D

But, seriously, I think something like Lee suggested would be useful. When new members sign up, they're taken to a page which shows them the basic rules, along with a list of helpful threads to get them started.

It doesn't matter what you put in front of them, they still won't fucking read it. Every other thread on here is bashing ebooks and they still come on here trying to sell them.

All known signature spammers and link farm promoting con men should be banned for the good of the community, they are a blight on the entire industry and go against the spirit of SEO and good business practice.

Digital Point is filled with self promoting morons that only want to sell links in their shitty directories.

Reading those shitty canned bidding directory (excuse to signature spam the forum) threads these guys run in the directory forums there is enough to make anyone with a sound mind sick.

So I'm all for banning these people, new or old members if they pull shit like that on any forum.

Make an ebook out of it.
Sell it for $97.

Nintendo and I will always have issues, as all know he is terminally insane and insists that all know and understand this !!! :error:

I don't have to go for that shit Andrew !!!

Shoemoney closed his forum, then opened it back up with pre-moderated posting, so it may as well be closed since no one is approving any of the posts made !!!

Anthony, DP sux nyways just because of a few induviduals and the BST section is the worst part!

Just stick here to Wickedfire and have some fun

PS: No Nintendo and Shoemoney here and they wont be able to come here either :D

I'm a very old hand on the webmaster forum circuit, I go way back, have been on most of the forums for years, I have seen it all, I understand who is who out here and there are a lot of con men running about that some forums let run loose to signature spam and self promote.

I intend to expose these scam artists and if people get hurt, so be it, I would rather hurt the scam artists versus having them defraud new webmasters.

AC is a forum dinosaur.

I think we were talking about this a while back and while i go back to 2400bps BBSes, he goes back to 600bps? or was it 1200?

Regardless, he's an old, old, er experienced dog...
