Ok, I am stooopid... I had some older wp blogs that I had'nt paid much attention to that got hacked, and now are listed on google as "bad sites". Argh... so a lot of my link farms are blown.....

Of course, all I have is the nasty links to websites that were inserted into my posts...... and they have a private registration from Scottsdale, Az. and are hosted on hostgater.

The things is... I am a single mom, and I work my butt off to make a living online without trying to screw over other people..and I am in the mood to do some reporting... Will sending these to google do any good, or are these just throwaway domains that the assholes use because they don't know how to promote a website with their own content and methods, and have to screw over other people....(Uh, sorry for the rant...moving on....)

Here are some of the domains....

where2lookonline.com
arkansaswriter.com
lostvalleygardens.com

oh..and if these domains belong to anybody here, you'd better do some examining of your methods...either you could be purchasing links from a hacker/scammer or you are a hacker/scammer......

Either way.....I was stupid, and have been punished. Now I am going to start pushing back.

Here's another one...book-bee.com ... and the WHOIS info is freely available. :)

I guess it is time to pick up the phone.

ok - edit... I really don't think the owner of the site did know anything about it, but he had been hacked too. The links pointed deep inside his website and were credit card related, where that is not the theme of his site.

OK... so do I just have to wipe out all of these websites and start over.... From my experience, google never gets around relisting you after a mess like this.

Sending an e-mail to Google can't hurt, but I wouldn't expect too much. They can take a while to get back to you... that said, I've had some sites re-indexed by e-mailing them.

As for all of those sites, simple solution: contact hostgator's abuse department here: 1-866-964-2867 or fax: 281.476.7801

They'll take down the sites by the end of the day, just watch, lol. Most of the time they don't even check to make sure you have a legit case, they suspend first, ask second.

Thanks, I think I am ranting and need to cool off. I called the poor guy at book-bee and ruined his day...then I realized he had probably been hacked too, and didn't know anything about it either.....

But I am making a list as I spend hours editing all this crap out and fixing my permissions.......

EVERYBODY... make sure you turn your permissions back to 644 after you edit your htacccess or sidebar, or do it on your 'puter...or bad santa will get you!

Thanks.

I had this happen to an older domain before that had been indexed for 3 years, and I installed new WP, cleaned it up, and requested a reinclusion about 3 weeks ago....I am still waiting. I am sure the list is long.

But yes, it is my fault for being careless.... I am just thinking about all of the work, and the fact the work will probably be fruitless, AND the fact that I have plenty of other projects to handle, and I'm thinking that maybe I should just wipe the domains and start fresh with new ones.

Keep up with those patches man. I think there's even an auto-upgrade plugin now for WP.

FYI, WP is the easiest software to upgrade, just overwrite the files and hit the admin panel.

Best of luck.

ALSO, to get delisted from google's shitlist, add the domains to google webmaster tools and use the utility there to resubmit. I manage/own over 300 domains and this shit happens frequently, so I know how frustrating you're feeling.

That is terrible to hear. Don't tell me that your "money" sites were hacked.

My main money sites are fine...thanks....

But I am more careful with them too. It was all blogs I had set up and linked, but which were mostly to pass links.

But they were all indexed, and sources of link juice.
