glad shit's going down the drain. I ran a few offers 5-6 months ago and was getting paid in Euros. Those same have a lower payout now because of this shit.
and I'm holding onto my Sterling (against the Euro) and praying.
Actually, there's a big pile of socialist centralist control about to hit the fan because according to the daily telegraph which I admit is right of center but the headline is alarming: "EU imposes wage cuts on Spanish 'Protectorate', calls for budget primacy over sovereign parliaments". It's EU end-game time. Hope the Euro blows-up.
Lower euro means European exports become cheaper and makes US goods more expensive in Europe, which should be good for the European industry. Also, all the doomsayers may wanna look a bit further back than just the last few weeks:
The Euro has been even below the dollar before and nobody (or few) cried it would be the end of the EU. Given that an exchange rate is not a stock (can't keep going up and up), some up and down is normal.
Now what happened in Greece and all the aftermath is pretty serious, not just normal up-and-down. Still, I'm sure it does not spell the end of either the euro or the EU.
