Best CMS for searching large datasets

I have a large set of data containing text, images, pdfs, etc. I need the ability to store this data in a CMS where I can tag and search it. I don't need fancy commenting, themes or anything like that, the simpler the better ideally. What would be the best CMS option for this? Right now I'm considering wordpress but I was hoping there's a better option. Thanks.

Get something custom and simple built. I'd do it with django, since the built in admin does a lot of the work for you.
