Ok so basically I have always used godaddy just because of a comfort and at one time price but lately I have been trying some new things with forwarding and masking and I am finding there processing time is ridiculous.

I tried forwarding one of my domains and it took about 5 hours and then when I took it off it is now redirecting to a park page with godaddy links! Just wanted to know if there is any better place to get domains from that is faster in these processes.

Thanks so much,

Everyone on WF will tell you to use namecheap. But I've never had GoDaddy take more than a few minutes for changes I make.

Thanks for the repy, ive heard of namecheap but since you are saying godaddy doesnt take that long for you keeps me wondering. Do you have some sort of premium account? I only have a hand full of domains with them.

It sounds like your problem might be due to propagation.

I have a lot of domains registered at GoDaddy and I'm generally happy. Namecheap is always smooth sailing for me. The only registrar that has been an unpleasant experience for me is Moniker.

we use fabulous.com and moniker.com to manage our portfolios - moniker is great because our rep is always available to assist us & their dns updates are nearly instant. fabulous is priced right, has super portfolio management tools (even for names not registered there) & also has a very high level of support. both are highly secure as well and have recovered domains that we temporarily lost due to buyer fraud (received a fraudulent bank wire one time even).

Fabulous and Moniker here. I also have a number of domains at Godaddy, Namecheap and Name but I never keep anything mission-critical there.

shameless plug but you can check out Webair.com for domain registrations. And we have live support for that and are competitive with pricing as well.

GoDaddy has always been pretty fast for me, propagation should not be an issue with them since they are direct sellers. (hosting side issue?)

Anyway, if you still want to try another company, namecheap is pretty damn good! Just registered my first domain with them, got whois protection and SSL!

i've been looking around for the same thing. I'm going with moniker due to site design, load times...
