Girlfriend sent me an email from work last night - "Just thinking of you...blah blah blah..." Anyhow, she adds a YouTube link and it's this song by a chick named Eva Cassidy. Yeah whatever, so I click it and...fucking WOW. I don't think I've ever heard such a moving voice.

Has anybody ever heard of her? Unfortunately she's dead now, but my question is how do the Celine Dion's in this world get so big and a legitimate treasure like this manages to stay under the radar? Anyhow, sometime when no one's around check her out :anon.sml:.

I'm not huge into female vocalists for some reason, but I think Sharon den Adel the chick from Within Temptation has a great voice and is HOT AS HELL

Nice eli. I love music where the chic is totally rocking out like that. We don't have enough of that in hard rock these days, IMHO.

She's going in the ipod too ( but maybe not to the hospital :D)

EDIT. LIke the symphonic undertone as well in this type of music...it's such a juggernaut of contradiction.

hospital?! Is it getting close to that time? I'm assuming you wouldn't be on wickedfire if it was getting super close but if its getting within those last few days good luck and don't forget to breathe and push!!

She's simply amazing. For the rest... If you can listen to her voice and not be moved by how beautiful the universe is just for allowing such things to exist, and you can fail to be moved by the sadness of how temporary we all are I pity you.

Jameel for example. How empty and horrible your life must be if this woman's talent and story don't touch you. Don't bother to reply. Your original post said more eloquently than any other words you could use in rebuttal how pathetic your existence is. Don't try to defend it; it probably isn't your fault, but I truly feel sorry for you that such a thing of beauty causes you to respond like such a typical drone. You still have a chance to wake up.

I'd use it if I were you. There's a lot more to this existence than you know.

FWIW, I gave up KISS tickets in Sturgis this week for Sharepoint. True fucking story. I earned an extra military bar in my geek army uniform for that one! (That bar and about $300K over the next 4 years!)
