Best Landing Page Angle

With the NE3 under way, I've picked a niche (sleeping aids) and want to make a landing page for it. I'm just wondering what the best way to present it would be.

Should I be the fellow human who had the same problem and solved it through this magical product?

Should I be the authority figure in this area and offer up advice on the subject?

Should I be the independent objective reviewer?

I've never made a "landing page" per say, so could use a little direction.

Also, I have a site that is dedicated to the same niche. Any way I can use that to my advantage - aside from linking to landing page? Maybe making the page part of the site (not advised from what I understand), putting LP on same domain, make reference to my review from the LP, etc.

I appreciate all the info you guys give out here.

simple and short: write down you ideas and test them all.

Obviously the best answer is to ^^ split test, but since you're in NE3 and probably don't have that much cash behind you, do some smaller split testing and ask a few close friends which they would trust more, or even build a mini-site for each and send a few dozen friends to them asking them to rate them on effectiveness.
