Best off the shelf shopping cart / backend for physical products?

I have a few physical products - and right now I find my shopping carts to be overly complex (I use joomla cms) and the backend to be BLOATED and not provide anything to me that is useful or to the customer.

What would you say is the best off the shelf backend and administration software to handle online shopping for the customer, and for ease of sales/accounting/stats/shipping for the company?
 


I'd also like to know of products people have experience with, it would also be a big plus theres a feature to automatically generate and email a PDF invoice. I've seen some which look quite good but someone with first hand experience will obviously know better.

EDIT: Btw, Zen Cart is the best I have found so far. Open source, lots of addons, and easily customisable. Has anyone used better?
 
Magento is very robust and provides a lot of pretty useful features. In addition, there are a lot of great themes to work with, making it that much easier to get your store up and running. Hope this helps!
