Best Pinterest clone

I'd like to set up a niche-specific pinterest clone website.

So far I found Pintastic - it's expensive and seems like it's the best. I have checked out other scripts as well, but their sites look like shit.

So bros - what script should I use?

Does it have the same functionality? how about handling large # of visitors?

Also, are there bots available to populate the site for the wordpress theme?

The problem with wordpress themes is they dont even come close to the functionality of the full script like pinmescript or pintastic.

Has anyone here actually used a script to set up a website like pinterest? (or sex.com)

Wordpress + $wpdb->query and cookies are all that you need to use. The problem with Wordpress is that you'll run into long time to first byte times (slow page loads) if it is 100% dynamically generated content once the site gets to scale.

Yeah that's why I want to just install a PHP script on it from the get-go. I also tried using pinterest-like WP themes and they're ghetto as shit.
