Best popurls clone?

What's the best popurls clone out there? I googled around a little and found some paid wordpress plugins that do this, but I would like to know how they are before I drop any cash. Anyone have experience or suggestions with this?

popurls (the main page, i'm not including all the additional services he now offers via the site) is an easy site to mimic using packages like simplepie, the only hard part is setting up the cache so that it doesn't take 20 minutes to load a large page every time someone new visits the site (while at the same time updating the lists regularly).

as far as out of the box clones that work well i'd suggest checking out News aggregator at Delic.com
he's got the source-code + a bunch of tips/tricks for modifying it over on the delic blog:

Thanks, the link is exactly what I was looking for. It was pretty simple to set up, I couldn't find anything about caching though beyond what is included by default. Any general suggestions or things I should be reading?
