I can't fucking believe it. I just did a search for a domain on domize.com. Found it, went to purchase, and right as I was purchasing it I was told it was taken. WTF? I did a whois check and sure enough, it was purchased 1 minute before.

Warning to all - domize.com will steal your domain searches. Fuckers.

Not new, there are a few places that'll do it to you. Stick to namecheap or moniker.

I'm trying to figure out exactly what it is that triggers an automated purchase. If anyone can figure it out, let me know. I'll write a quickie script to automate it and run up these fucker's bill.

If I remember right, it's not going to cost them a thing. I think they can register it for up to 5 days.

Not anymore. :) They can get only 10% of their total registration or 500 domains (whichever is higher) for free -- else they end up having their ICANN fee fortified.

I'm probably the only one who cares, but anyone figured out how to trigger a domize auto-register of a domain?

Maybe don't click-thru to faggy GoDaddy perhaps. I think its an awesome tool, and you're just retarded.

some companies buy the domain when you see if it's available to make you buy it via them - that way you can't goto namecheap and buy it. you can probably call them and get it taken care of, should that be the case. I know network-solutions is famous for this, calling them resolves it typically.
